Meshach died in is California home surrounded by loved ones after a long battle with cancer. Best known for his role as Anthony Bouvier in Designing Women. He was also nominated for an Emmy award in 1989. Our condolences to his family.
I’m sure many of you remember all of the drama that surrounded Eminem and his daughter a decade ago. Many of his his at one time or another referenced his daughter and her mother. It seems she’s not so little anymore. She graduated from high school. Below is an image of her in her cap and gown and let me tell you, she’s all grown up! Looking very pretty. Ever wonder how it is that almost all of the children of celebrities wind up being lookers? Even if the parents aren’t the hottest. I wonder why that is. Any thoughts?
The original auctioneer for the A&E hit television series Storage was suffered a double aneurysm today at his home. His wife Laura, who is also on the show, said that He woke up and was acting weird. Asking weird questions in his sleep and seeing double with blurry vision. According to laura, he fell back to sleep and woke up again and took a shower, where he collapsed. Laura called 911 and attempted CPR. He was rushed to the hospital for emergency surgery. Doctor’s say he is doing better than expected but his change of surviving this is less than 20%. Not very good chances. We at Celebutopia wish him and his family well. He seems like such a nice guy.
So I was looking around the internet as I tend to do on a daily basis. Who am I kidding, I never get off the internet. Anyway, I came across this video from the Ellen show. it shows Kristen Bell talking about her love of the hit show, Naked and Afraid. Ellen decides to challenge Kristen to see if she would be able to survive Naked and Afraid.
The challenge is for Kristen to create fire and build a shelter in 60 seconds! Now even on the show with all of the obstacles the contestants need to overcome, they have more than 60 seconds to build a fire and shelter. Not fair Ellen… I won’t spoil it for you, I will just let you see for yourself.
Lea Michele reportedly stormed off the set of Glee on Tuesday.
Sources say that the 27-year-old was infuriated that her co-star, Naya Rivera, went to the producers of the show and complained about her being a “diva.”
The two have been working together on the musical television series since it first aired in 2009. Glee is currently in its fifth season. If you ask me, I don’t think it should go on. I was an avid Glee fan, but the writers have gone and made a fantastic show and mini musical, into garbage.
A source close to Rivera told TMZ that most of the cast and crew were annoyed at Michele for making everyone wait for her to start shooting while she dealt with her own personal matters on set. The incident is said to have happened more than once. Apparently, they have had it with waiting and Rivera was the one who went to the producers to complain about Michele’s unprofessional behavior. At this point, I don’t really care who it was that stormed off set but to be honest, it definitely sounds like something that Lea would do. Her head swelled when the producers and writers gave her control over whether or not the show would continue after the untimely death of her fiance and Glee co-star Corey Montieth. Lea better be grateful to the show and it’s fan base. If not for us GLEEKS, she’d still be an unknown belting out shrieks on Broadway.
It’s for real. Christine McVie is rejoining Fleetwood Mac, and will be touring with the band after a 15-year absence.
In January, a representative for the band confirmed that McVie was rejoining the group, and intimated that a tour might be on the horizon.
All five members of Fleetwood Mac (at least, the five members most associated with the group) – Mick Fleetwood, John McVie and his ex- wife Christine McVie, Lindsey Buckingham and Stevie Nicks- will will kick Pfc their “On With The Show” tour, with 34 shows in 33 cities.
Christine left the group on 1998, and over the years there have been much speculation as to why. In an appearance Thursday on NBC’s “Today” show, she revealed that an ever-present fear got in the way. “I had a fear of flying. I haven’t flown in 15 years.”
Upon McVie’s split from the band, the remaining four members continued touring and recording. Perhaps surprisingly, when the foursome visited London this past Fall for a performance, they were able to convince McVie to appear with them onstage for a performance of “Don’t Stop.” (I sure would gave loved to have been there to see that reunion!)
The “On With The Show” tour begins on September 30th on Minneapolis. Tickets for the general public go on sale on April 7th.
This was enough to influence McVie to reunite with her former band mates. She said on “Today,” “Walking out on stage was sensational” and that she had rejoined the group with a “definite capital YES.” (Emphasis mine.)
“It’s like she never left. We’ve only been in the studio a week, and it’s really been beautiful,” says Buckingham. “I have very high hopes for all of this. It took getting into the studio before we started to see things unfold in an effective and comfortable way. Christine was mo sure how her voice was going to be. It will be a little bit of a slow process with her piano chops. But all the stuff inside her is still intact, and we’re getting in touch with a process that’s been lying dormant for a while.”
Sounds good to me.
Citing “irreconcilable differences,” Rhonda Adkins, the wife of country star Trace Adkins, has filed papers in Tennessee for divorce after 17 years of marriage. The couple has three daughters, aged 16, 12 and 9.
Rhonda is seeking primary custody of their children, and for Adkins to pay child support, alimony, provide health insurance her and their daughters, and all of her legal expenses.
There’s an side note to the matter. As reported by TMZ, Rhonda wants to be listed as the sole beneficiary of Trace’s life insurance policy.
The filing comes just two weeks after Trace’s first public appearance n the Grand Ole Opry after completing an alcohol rehabilitation program.
In January he entered a rehab facility after a lapse from his long-established sobriety. While on board a country music cruise on the Norwegian Pearl, he allegedly got into a drunken fight with a Trace Adkins impersonator who sang one of his songs in a karaoke performance.
After a two-week stay, he checked out of the facility in order to fly to Louisiana to be at the bedside of his dying father, Aaron, 71. He checked back into the facility to complete treatment following his father’s passing. He had been sober for the previous 12 years after finishing a prior stay in rehab in 2002.
One of the most-talked about couples in Hollywood is soon to be no more. Gwyneth Paltrow and Chris Martin announced their separation – online, via Paltrow’s Web site GOOP. Nope, none of that old-fashioned silliness such as a PR representative or agent reading a prepared statement – none of that.
In a post titled “Conscious Uncoupling” they wrote, “It is with hearts full of sadness that we have to separate. We have been working hard for well over a year, some of it together, some of it separated, to see what might have been possible between us, and we have come to the conclusion that while we love each other very much we will remain separate.”
They have two children – a daughter Apple, 9, and a son Moses, 7.
For some time, Paltrow has been in the news more for her personal life than any professional achievements.
On September 4th she was seen in Los Angeles picking on a motor scooter picking up Apple from school, narrowly avoiding being hit after pulling out in front of a school bus. The bus driver spotted the pair and had to hit the brakes hard to keep from hitting them. Her husband and son were on another scooter, not far behind.
Paltrow has also taken some flack for the recipes and advice contained in her cookbook, Here’s a sample of the sometimes not-so-warm reception to the book, as posted in The Mail Online:
But forgetting that most people earn a fraction of what the actress makes, it is peppered with an array of costly ingredients such as duck eggs, gluten-free flour and manuka honey.
Yahoo calculated that it would cost $300.65 to follow Gwyneth’s family meal plan for just one day after going out and shopping for the foods from scratch.
Starting with breakfast, a spinach and mushroom egg-white omelette came in at $28.27.
In April of 2013, she was named as People magazine’s “Most Beautiful
woman in the World.” As you may remember, that issue drew plenty of criticism, much of it quite vocal – and I had to agree to some degree. I think she’s a beautiful woman but I would hardly say that say that she’s the most beautiful woman in the world.
More recently, some chatter has been circulating, claiming that Vanity Fair magazine was working on a “takedown” cover story on the actress.
While I don’t wish misfortune on anybody – and Heaven knows, divorce can be rough – exacerbated by enduring so much public scrutiny – it must be nice to have more than enough money to make it through the process. Not everybody can just pick up and move and not suffer a major blow to their quality of life.
I wish the family well. I hope the kids aren’t affected too badly by the croons of their parents.

Kate Bush, the best-selling but reclusive British singer-songwriter who first achieved international fame with her debut single “Wuthering Heights” in 1979, announced on Friday, on her Web site, that she will do 15 live shows this summer. Her show, “Before the Dawn,” will open on August 26 at the Eventim Apollo theatre in London, followed by three more dates in August and 11 more in September.
“I am delighted to announce that we will be performing some live shows this coming August and September,” she wrote. “I hope you will be able to join us and I look forward to seeing you there. We’ll keep you updated with further news on the website. Meanwhile, all details of concert dates and tickets are in the note below. Very best wishes, Kate.”
Shortly after the tour dates were posted, Bush’s website crashed and her name instantly became a trending topic on Twitter, according to The Telegraph.
“Wuthering Heights” was the first song written and performed by a female singer to rise to the top of the British charts. Since then she has released 10 albums, three of which have reached #1 in Britain, and hoax had three Grammy nominations.
Tickets go on sale on March 28th at 9:30 AM local time. Boy oh boy would I live tickets to one of those shows! I’ve been listening to her music since the beginning. If you want to hear a well-recorded piece of music, listen to “Wuthering Heights.” Near the very end of the song, by here are high-pitched bells that are so clear, so detailed, that even so many years later, it’s a thrill and a pleasure to listen to it. Don’t forget “Oh England My Lionheart.” That’s a gem, too.
E! Online was told by a source that Mila Kunis, 30, is pregnant. This news comes only a month after the couple announced that they were engaged.
Kutcher, 36, has been dating Kunis for about two years. His divorce from Demi Moore became finalized in November of 2013.
Good luck to the couple, and best wishes for a happy, healthy baby.
I was just in the supermarket and happened to see the cover of the most recent Star magazine – that paragon of trustworthy reporting and in-depth analysis. I actually stopped in my tracks when I saw the following cover:
At first I saw only the “Kardashians CANELLED!” (their upper-case spelling) and I thought, “Ah-hah! There must be some TV programmers who serviceable brain cells.” Then I read the complete headline, and I thought, “There must be some TV gods and goddesses after all. They took pity on us.” My question is, why on Earth did this last for nine years?
It is always my contention that people like the Kardashians are not, or at very least, should not be, celebrities. Why doe we even know about them, or Paris and Nicky Hilton? Their father, Robert Kardashian, was a well-to-do businessman, but they became famous after his death. Why? On what basis did they deserve fame and more fortune? Do any of them have any really marketable skills? Are any of them able to sing or dance or act? Not that I know of. On the other hand, in front of the cameras, make no mistake – they perform. Their reality show – like any reality show – is hardly reality – no sirree, not at all – not with cameras and stage hands and lighting technicians and audio engineers and producers all there, to record the goings-on. How does any of that bear any relation to reality?
Within the last eek, it was revealed that contestants on “Dancing With The Stars” had to sign a lengthy participation contract that left them completely at the mercy of the producers. The producers could ignore public voting, and steer the results in whatever direction they chose. Are there many viewers out there that still don’t believe (I should really say, realize) that the show is not un-scripted and spontaneous?
Their lives are centered around their own endless self-promotion. They may complain about excessive, unending paparazzi shadowing, but do you ever wonder, how do the photographers always know where the family members are going to be? It’s no secret that many celebrities – either directly or through their agents or representatives – contact the media and tell them, “Shailene Woodley will be at Chateau Marmont for dinner at 8:30 tomorrow night,” or “Lea Michelle (or Eva Longoria) will be at Ken Paves salon this afternoon at about 4:30.” Granted, that’s hardly the scenario every time, but it surely happens often enough. What’s the watchword? Publicity. Make sure you stay in the public eye – don’t let the public forget about you.
To be even more cynical, there’s there’s a maxim from the world of economics: supply creates its own demand. It has worked remarkably well for the Kardashians, and the Hiltons. In addition, there are plenty of C- or D-listers or celebrities who haven’t had any noteworthy projects for quite a while, such as Mischa Barton or Michelle Trachtenberg, or fading (yes, even tainted) former stars like Lindsay Lohan – who show up for movie premieres or fashion shows – and the paparazzi dutifully snap dozens of photos of these attendees. Are there really that many people out there still clamoring for pictures of Tara Reid? Don’t even ask me to explain somebody like Bai Ling. Some things defy description. No, wait – not true. There are more than enough models/wannabee actresses who have a seemingly endless array of “wardrobe malfunctions” that they can conjure up at will – that has to be it.
Boy oh boy, the bottom line is that the Kardashians’ TV show is over. I guess means there’s a time slot open for another show about a pawn shop or buying storage lockers or unclaimed, lost airline luggage. Yayyyyyy!
McCanick – Cory Monteith’s final film, opened in theaters yesterday, to mostly negative reviews. The film, directed by Josh C. Waller, stars David Morse (as title cop McCanick) Monteith (as Simon Weeks) and Ciarán Hinds, has been called, by outlets such as the New York Times, The Los Angeles Times and Variety as “dour,” “derivative,” “thin,” “clicheed” (including a subway door closing just in time) and “implausible.”
That’s too bad. While I was no fan of his and when he died I thought he was given too much undeserved tribute for what accomplishments he did have, I wouldn’t have been averse to seeing his last movie role end up as part of a better final product.
According to IMDb:
When narcotics detective Eugene “Mack” McCanick discovers that Simon Weeks has been released from prison, he instigates a brutal manhunt, without permission from the Chief of Police. The frenzy of paranoia and violence that follows pushes Mack and his partner to the edge of the law. The closer Mack gets to his prey, the closer he gets to a secret from his past-one that only Weeks can expose.
It is anticipated that the film will enjoy limited theater release; even the most generous reviews suggest that the movie will only be sought out by Monteith fans eager to have one final memory of the late star. It’s a pity that this final impression will apparently not be delivered by way of a better vehicle.
Chris Hemsworth and Elsa Pataky are now the parents of twins. Pataky gave birth to the pair on Thursday (March 20th) at Cedars Sinai Hospital in Los Angeles. The sexes of the babies was not announced.
Hemsworth, 30, and Spain native Pataky, 36, are already the parents of a little girl, 22-month old India Rose.
I wish the family the best of health and much joy on hearing of their happy news.
Star Wars fans, listen to this – the next installment in the “Star Wars” series will be set 30 years after the events of “Return of the Jedi.” This news was announced by Walt Disney Company’s CEO Bob Iger on Tuesday (March 18) in Portland, Oregon at the company’s annual shateholder’s meeting.
The movie will be filmed at the renowned Elstree Studios in Bristol , England. (Bear in mind, Darth Vader was played by Bristol native David Prowse.) “Episode VII” will be released on December 18, 2015 and will be directed by J. J. Abram, who also led the recent “Star Trek” series films.
In 2012 Disney purchased LucasFilm, the Star Wars production company, for $4.05 billion and said that it would release three more films in the popular franchise.
Aside from saying that R2D2 (played by R2D2) would return Iger said, “There will be some very familiar faces along with a trio of new young leads.” Of course, there’s a lot of speculation that the returning veterans would be Luke Skywalker, Han Solo and Princess Leia.
Rumors have been circulating for a year regarding the possible return of Harrison Ford and Carrie Fisher. The current feeling is leaning towards Oscar-winner Lupita Nyong’o and “Girls” actor Adam Driver.
Now would be the perfect time for the film’s creative leaders and casting team to find a way to find roles Lucy Liu. I think she’d be a perfect fit here. Of course, I always think that.

Maria looks like a goddess.
She dresses like a goddess.
She walks like a goddess.
Too bad her laugh seems like a cross between SpongeBob and Woody Woodpecker.
Ok, now that I got that out of the way, let’s talk. Actually I learned a lot about her. She lives with her parents, her boyfriend of 15 years, and her bodyguard- a former street fighter who is a friend of her boyfriend. Hmmm… I had to pause a bit when I saw that. I’m not sure why he lives with them. Maybe we’ll find out.
The overriding theme is this- Maria is about to be 35 years old but isn’t married and has no kids. Her parents seem to talk about nothing else, and bring it up seemingly at every opportunity, including dinner. This causes conflict on a number of levels. Maria supports everybody financially, and loves what she does for a living. As she says, she has worked very hard for a long time and doesn’t want to give up her career. Her boyfriend- who acts as her manager- doesn’t want to be pushed into any decisions like this.
I already don’t like her boyfriend – former filmmaker Kevin Undergaro. He says that since Maria’s career took off, he put his career on standby to help her manage, and advance, her career. I believe he’s now about 49 years old. Very quickly, I had the impression that he was riding the gravy train and doesn’t want anything to come between him and his meal ticket. He seems awfully whiny to me. While out driving with Maria, he complains that all his life he’s always been told what he should do and when and he doesn’t like being pushed into anything. Jeez, he’s 49, lives with a beautiful, sexy woman who pays the bills for a very nice lifestyle, and he doesn’t want to be pushed into anything. I’m getting the impulse to want to smack him.
I admit, I wasn’t expecting to hear a lot of the things that were discussed – such as (at have at least seemingly) casually mentioning to her best friend that she and Kevin “have been having unprotected sex” but she still hasn’t gotten pregnant. When she tells this to her gynecologist, her doctor recommends that Kevin should see a urologist.
If I sound disappointed it’s because I am. I hope there is some mention now and then about something other than the various family members’ reasons for or against Maria having a baby. I was also rather surprised to her Maria claim that she loves what she does for a living and has the best job in the world – even telling her mother that she gets to do all kinds of things she always wanted to do- yet later complain that she works seven days a week and is always so tired – so how would she have any time or strength to be able to take care of kids.
Of course I’ll keep watching the show. I have to. It’s Maria, after all.
You can bet on this one- this is one reality show I’m going to watch. I ‘ll probably record it, too.
“Chasing Maria Menounos” will follow the “Extra” host’s experienced with her traditional Greek parents, Costas and Litsa, and her boyfriend of 15 years (Surely, one of the luckiest men in the galaxy) Kevin Undergaro.
Of course, her parents want her to get married and have children, and as she nears 35, her parents to have her settle down is stronger than ever.
The show will also chronicle the not-so-glamorous aspects of her life. Menounos remarked that she may be dressed up for the Academy Awards one night, and with her family at Chili’s the next night.
Menounos is also quite eager to show viewers her Greek family. I think it’s nice to see a traditional Greek family at home,” she says. “I think it’s nice to see someone who made it in this town and stayed in the same relationship they came in with. I don’t think you see that very often.”
Menounos says that home is a place in which she can take it easy, and get a little distance from her busy life. “I love being at home with Kevin and the dogs and my family,” she says. “And I love cooking. I love watching movies. I love going to the beach.”
Maria, you could eat dinner and watch a movie with me at the beach any time.
Renowned fashion designer L’Wren Scott, the long-time girlfriend of Mick Jagger, was found dead in her Manhattan apartment from an apparent suicide on Monday, police said.
Scott, a former model, designed slim-fitting dresses that were the favorites of Hollywood’s A-list celebrities, including Nicole Kidman, Madonna, Allison Williams, Amy Adams, Sarah Jessica Parker, Christina Hendricks and Penelope Cruz.
According to police there were no signs of forced entry and no indication of foul play; they did not find a suicide note.
Her assistant said Scott sent her a text on Monday morning to “come by” and when the assistant arrived shortly after 10 AM, Scott was found hanging from a doorknob with a scarf around her neck, prompting the assistant to call the police.
New York Police Detective Kelly Ort said, “We are investigating it as a suicide.” Police said that they had preliminary information showing that Scott was 49 but that had not yet been confirmed by her family. The New York Medical Examiner will determine the cause of death, according to the New York a Police Department.
Through a spokesman, Jagger, 70, said that he was “completely shocked and devastated.”
It was not clear if Scott had shown any signs, in her work or personal life, that foretold her death, but there were some early reports that claimed cer company was millions of dollars in debt. A publicist for Jagger said that a New York Post story claiming that the pair had split up “is 100% untrue” and “a horrible and inaccurate piece of gossip during this very tragic time for Mick.”
Anna Wintour, the long-time editor of Vogue magazine, posted on Vogue.com, “L’Wren was a total perfectionist, someone who absolutely embodied everything her marvelous clothes stood for: strength of character combined with a confident and powerful style.”
Kidman, a friend for 25 years, was, according to a spokeswoman, “heartbroken and in shock right now and unable to say anything.”
Madonna said, “This is a horrible and tragic loss. I’m so upset. I loved L’Wren’s work and she was always so generous with me.”
The Rolling Stones had been on tour in Australia but the band called off Wednesday night’s show on Perth following the news. There were unconfirmed reports that the band had left their hotel and were about to fly to New York. Jagger’s daughter, Georgia May, ended her participation in Melbourne Fashion Week.
