Celebrity Ass of the Week: Brett Ratner
Okay, when did Brett Ratner turn into a teenage girl? Apparently the music video director who ravaged my poor X-Men franchise decided to take on teeny bopper love lives in a recent MTV interview.
Ratner claims that Miley Cyrus’s “7 Things” was inspired by a recent heartache. It seems Miley made rookie mistake of inviting the Rat to her house before he directed the video for that song and showed him “all of her personal items from under her bed that her ex-boyfriend gave her.” (Apparently Miley treasures dirty socks and photos, btw).
He has enough couth not to directly name-drop Miley’s most famous former boy toy, Nick Jonas, Ratner says in the video she’s wearing a necklace the heartbreaker in question gave her and says “The necklace she’s wearing in the video is the necklace [the boy] gave her. She’s wearing his diabetes or medical necklace.”
Jonas has Type 1 diabetes and is a spokesperson for awareness of the disease.
