Diff’rent Lawsuit for Gary Coleman
In part of timeless American condition, actor Gary Coleman, who was involved in a hit and run accident Sept. 6, is getting sued. Colt Rushton says Coleman punched him and ran into him with his truck in a bowling alley parking lot.
The argument started because Rushton was taking photos of the “Diff’rent Strokes” actor with a cell phone.
Coleman has been charged with misdemeanor reckless driving and disorderly conduct in Payson City Justice Court. A court clerk said Thursday there had been no notification that Coleman is represented by a lawyer.
According to Rushton’s suit, filed Wednesday in 4th District Court, Coleman’s bodyguard, Paul Rohbock, told Rushton he would have to pay $20 per picture if he continued taking photos (dude, who do you think you are, Alex O’Loughlin?).
Rushton’s attorney, Dustin Lance, said his client stopped taking pictures, but when he later saw Coleman sitting in his truck close to the steering wheel, he thought it was funny and took another picture (when is Gary Coleman not funny looking?).
Rohbock or Coleman’s wife, Shannon Price, attacked Rushton from behind, says the suit. They took his cell phone away and Coleman punched Rushton in the chest several times.
“He’s saying, ‘Gary, you can leave, I’m sorry, I’ll delete the pictures, just please give me my phone back,’” Lance said.
No comment from Coleman, but I suspect he won’t know whatchoo talkin’ about…
