Heather Locklear arrested – UPDATED

Heather Locklear was arrested Saturday night on suspicion of driving while under the influence and being under the influence of a controlled substance, according to the California Highway Patrol.

“Around 4:30 p.m., a female witness saw Heather Locklear driving erratically while leaving a parking lot in Montecito,” California Highway Patrol spokesman Tom Marshall said. “The witness said Locklear was revving her engine loudly, and backed over a pair of sunglasses several times.”

The witness, who didn’t recognize the actress, spotted her stopped on a nearby highway shortly thereafter. Locklear then exited her vehicle.

“The witness called 911 because she was concerned for Locklear’s safety,” Marshall said. “When a (California Highway Patrol) officer arrived, Locklear was found seated inside her vehicle, which was partially blocking the roadway.”

Locklear appeared “disoriented and impaired,” and was taken to a local CHP station and drug and alcohol tests were administered, Marshall said. The actress was cooperative with the tests.

“Alcohol was ruled out as a factor, but based on the officer’s observations, we believe Locklear was under the influence of prescription medication,” Marshall added.

She was hled in Santa Barbara County around 7 p.m. and released hours later.

The arrest comes two months after leaving an Arizona treatment facility. The actress has been battling anxiety and depression.

Ledger’s entire estate left to daughter

After what seemed like an eternity of closed door meetings and court proceedings, it seems that the Ledger family has finally done the right thing, and that is to give up their portions of Heath’s estate and hand all $20 million over to his daughter, Matilda. The original will left everything to his parents and three sisters. The will was signed by the actor on April 12, 2003, two years before Matilda was born.

This family makes me sick. Is it me or were they money hungry bastards? There was no reason for it to take this long. Actors from Ledger’ last movie, “The Imaginarium of Dr. Parnassus,” Johnny Depp, Jude Law and Colin Farrell donated their sizable earnings from the film to her all while her family behaved like twats! You guys are crabs. Money-hungry crabs.

I hope Matilda learns of this and disowns you in the future. Regardless of what her daddy’s will said, you should have been a family that cared for her and not his money. I gotta stop writing this. I am just so sick at you people.

Scarlett Johansson and Ryan Reynolds get hitched

Scarlett Johansson and Ryan Reynolds got married this weekend in a quiet ceremony. The couple announced their engagement in May but have now made honest people of each other.

This is a first time marriage for both of them and hopefully it will be their last, unfortunately Hollywood marriages do not seem to stay the course for the young generation these days, but let’s hope this one does!

Reynolds was previously linked to Alanis Morrisette and started dating Johansson shortly after they split, but Alanis has expressed her well wishes on her former partner and wishes them both well, who knows, it may inspire her to pen another best-selling album like ‘Jagged Little Pill’… ooooh I do hope so!

Paul Newman Dies at age 83

Damn I get tired of writing these. We are losing way too many legends lately. It is sad to report that Paul Newman has passed away in his home in CT last night. He has lost his battle with cancer. Newman is well known for his role in over 50 major films spanning 7 decades. Films include: “Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid,” “The Verdict,” “The Hustler,” “The Color of Money”
In 1982 Newman launched his own food line and donated all profits to charity. Another legend has left us. You will be missed Paul. R.I.P.

In theaters Sept. 26

Movies up for release for the Sept. 26 weekend:

“Eagle Eye” - The recently-un-DUI’d Shia LaBeouf co-stars in “Eagle Eye” with Michelle Monaghan. The two become the pawns of a mysterious woman they have never met, but seems to be able to track their every move. The pair realize they are being used in her plot for political assassination and decide to work together beat her at her own game. Looks like a standard thriller, though awesome special effects abound. Two hours of mindless running around with pretty people.

“Miracle at St. Anna” – Directed by Spike Lee, this movie follows four black soldiers of the all-black 92nd Infantry Division who get trapped near a small Tuscan village during the Italian Campaign of World War II after one of them risks his life to save an Italian boy. It’s inspired by the August 1944 Sant’Anna di Stazzema massacre committed by the Waffen-SS in retaliation to Italian partisan activity.

“Nights in Rodanthe” – Hoping to reproduce the success of “The Notebook,” director George C. Wolfe takes on another Nicholas Sparks’ novel, “Nights in Rodanthe.” The movie features Richard Gere as a doctor who is traveling to see his estranged son and sparks a relationship with an unhappily married woman (Diane Lane) he meets at an inn in Noth Carolina.

The Lucky Ones” – Three soldiers (played by Rachel McAdams, Tim Robbins, and Michael Pe

DJ AM released from hospital

Travis Barker may have to wait two weeks, but his fellow plane crash survivor, Adam “DJ AM” Goldstein, was released from the hospital Friday. He suffered serious burns in the crash that occurred after midnight Sept. 19 and killed four.

His rep, Jenni Weinman, released the following statement: “While he is deeply saddened by the events, he is thankful for all of the love and support he has been receiving from fans and friends worldwide. We ask that you continue to respect his privacy as he rests and heals and mourns the loss of his friends.”

Get well, boys.

Dupri: Barker to leave hospital in two weeks

Jermaine Dupri told MTV that Travis Barker will spend two more weeks in the hospital recovering from the burns he received in the plane crash last week.

Dupri, who is partners with Barker in the So So Def clothing line, reports that though the drummer, whose torso and lower part of his body were burned in the crash, has a lot of healing to do, he’s doing alright and should be out of the hospital in two weeks.

He said:
“He’s supposed to send a message out to everybody in a couple of days to let everybody know that he’s feeling better. He’s definitely feeling the love from everyone.”

Dupri said he was shocked when he heard that Barker had been in the accident. “I was at home. Somebody called me early in the morning,” he said. “It was kind of crazy, and I didn’t really comprehend what had happened.”

Shia LaBeouf is even steven with the LAPD

Shia LaBeouf has transformed his DUI charges into a get-out-jail-free card. The L.A. County District Attorney’s office announced today that it won’t file charges against the actor for the July 27 car accident that crushed his hand.

LaBeouf, 22, was cited with a misdemeanor DUI at the hospital. But prosecutors will instead file criminal charges against the other driver for running a red light.

A hearing with everybody’s favorite government entity, the DMV, is scheduled Friday and a suspension of his driver’s license is likely because LaBeouf refused to take the breathalyzer test.

“When an individual refuses to take a blood alcohol test, that person’s license is automatically suspended for six to nine months,” says L.A. County Sheriff’s spokesman Steve Whitmore.

Fortunately for LaBeouf, the paycheck for “Transformers 2″ will be more than enough for a chaffeur for the next few months. Or pull a Vinny Chase and get an entourage. That’s good, too.

Jessica Alba is one hot mama!

Looking svelte in a sizzling bikini you would never guess that Jessica Alba had a baby 3 months ago!
Her trainer Ramona Braganza revealed that Jessica has lost 25 pounds already and says that she has worked incredibly hard to get back into shape, the results speak for themselves.

“She worked out an hour a day, five or six days a week, and stayed on a strict diet of about 1700 calories a day, losing 600 calories because of exercise,” says Braganza.

I just hope that the signt of these glamourous pictures dont make the normal everyday working mom feel bad about themselves, as most women dont have the kind of money that provide for a personal trainer to get them back into shape so swiftly…neither do they have the time to spend so long in the gym or hire a nanny to look after their young.

Will Smith to star in prequel to ‘I am Legend’

Well, it pays you to be on Warner Bros Birthday list, when you reach 40, you get the starring role in a film!
It looks like Will Smith will get to reprise his role as Robert Neville in the prequel to the “I am Legend” 2007 blockbuster.
Movie executives have greenlighted the film on the movie star’s birthday, with Francis Lawrence as director and D.B. Weiss to pen the script.
Smith’s scientist character was killed in the last film.
Looks like “Hancock” may be making a second appearance too, so if you are in the movie business and need some work, I suggest you get on the Will Smith train, looks like the place to be right now in Hollywood…
I just hope they make the prequel to ‘I am Legend’ a bit more interesting as I found the first movie somewhat dull…

Celebrity Ass of the Week: Sacha Baron Cohen

For a while it seemed like Hollywood was on its best behavior this week – visiting plane crash victims, donating money to worth causes, reuniting my favorite 90s teen shows. But we knew, if we waited long enough, some rising star would make an ass of himself.

So, thank you Sacha Baron Cohen. The actor and filmmaker is filming his latest mockumentary “Bruno: Delicious Journeys Through America for the Purpose of Making Heterosexual Male.”

As part of the movie, he stormed onto the catwalk of Agatha Ruiz de la Prada’s show in Milan Thursday. Cohen jumped on stage dressed up as his Austrian model character, Bruno.

Wearing layers upon layers of “couture,” he sashayed down the runway past the other models.

OK, rude, but I can see the joke.

Except then Cohen refused to leave. To the point that the police had to be called in.

Plus, he caused anothe scene when he burst into the changing rooms and security guards had to haul him away.

Look, models and the fashion world are as overly serious and absurd as anything out there, but when you push the joke so far that police are involved, you’re past funny and just to rude. A good comedian always know when to make an exit.

I’m not sure how this will be funny. Perhaps it’s all in the editing.

But until then, Sacha, your boorish behavior and failure to know when the joke is over makes you our Celebrity Ass of the Week.

Zack and Slater back together (briefly)

Saved by the Bell is back on the screen. Sort of. Zack and Slater will share a screen for a one-off reunion on “Extra.”

Mario Lopez hosts the entertainment show and Mark-Paul Gosselaar agreed to appear for a 20th anniversary special set to air Friday.

Gosselaar reveals that he, his son and his wife still watch re-runs of the show.

“We never thought the show was going to get picked up.It’s cool now to watch Saved By The Bell. It’s become an icon.”

Forget 90210, I miss the Bayside gang.

Swayze films the ultimate goodbye episode

Patrick Swayze has made dozens of films, but he’s working on one that may be his most important.

The actor is battling pancreatic cancer and plans to film a special episode of his upcoming A&E show “The Beast” as a video-documentary for his family to watch after his death.

The episode is expected to co-star Don Swayze, his 50-year-old brother and will be directed by Swayze’s wife, Lisa Niemi. Documentary-style behind-the-scenes footage of the production will be included.

He returned to the Chicago, Ill. set just months after his cancer diagnosis in February.

In August, Swayze insisted he’s feeling healthy and looking forward to recovery. Nonetheless, he’s planning this taping for his eventual demise whenever that comes.

Swayze plans to continue filming the show until November.

Del Toro to take a bite out of vampires

They may be cold as ice with borrowed blood in their veins, but vampires are hot, hot, hot in Hollywood this year. The upcoming vamp pic “Twilight” is expected to be the new Harry Potter, while HBO recently picked up a second season of the mediocre “True Blood” and now director Guillermo Del Toro will take a stab at the creatures of the night.

The “Hellboy” director will collaborate with crime writer Chuck Hogan on a trilogy of vampire stories. The first, “The Strain,” will hit stores next summer.

Del Toro says, “The idea is epic in scope. The trilogy advances in unexpected ways and each book contains unique and surprising revelations about the history, physiology and lore of the vampiric race, tracing its roots all the way back to its Old Testament origins.”

See, CBS, vampires are good business (I still miss my favorite vampire detective Mick St. John from late, great “Moonlight“)

Gillian Anderson takes a tumble

It was no Scarlet O’Hara tumble down the stairs, but a pregnant Gillian Anderson, 40 and expecting her third child, frightened the crowds at the London premiere of “How to Lose Friends and Alienate People” Wednesday night.

The night began with an introduction from director Robert Weide and a joke that Anderson going into labor would spark great publicity for the film.

Anderson took to the stage and threw a mock punch, then lost her balance and fell to the floor.

The Empire Leicester Square audience gasped at the tumble of the eight-months-pregant Anderson.

Weide reassured them that the actress
