Paramore sinks its teeth into ‘Twilight’
Back when I found out I was tragically uncool while watching the MTV Video Awards (only about half of the acts were ones I recognized. Yes, I’m old, apparently on the adult diapers track), I discovered the band Paramore and their rockin’ little corner of the music ‘verse.
And what makes them even more fun now is that lead singer Hayley Williams is a huge “Twilight” fan. She’s blogged endless about her love the Stephenie Meyer’s novels and posted photos of herself with the novels.
Now she and her band are going to be part of the phenomenon.
“Twilight really caught my attention and held it. I’m really excited to see the book adapted to film and excited that our band gets to be a part of the phenomenon,” Williams said, in a statement Friday to MTV News, confirming the band will have two songs on the soundtrack for the upcoming Twilight movie.
“Twilight is the first series of books I’ve ever read. I didn’t get into the Harry Potter series, even though I love the movies,” she said.
The Twilight movie will hit theaters Nov. 21.
