Sarah Silverman thanks Jimmy for ‘f*cking Matt Damon’

Kathy Griffin wasn’t the only comedienne cracking jokes at the podium during the Creative Arts Emmies. Sarah Silverman picked up a statue for best original music and lyrics for “I’m F*cking Matt Damon.” The song also won for best picture-editing.

In her speech, Silverman said, “Thanks to the person for whom this whole video was made: Jimmy Kimmel, who broke my heart – ohhh, who’ll always have a place in my heart.”

Kimmel and Silverman split up in July after five years together.

She added: “Let’s be honest, Matt Damon had very little to do with this being popular.”
In her speech Saturday, Silverman also thanked her cowriters and joked, “this makes all the, ‘Hey, I’m f*cking Matt Damon, too,’ totally worth it.”

The primetime Emmys air Sept. 21 on ABC
