Sharon Stone loses physical custody of son
As Alec Baldwin and Kim Basinger have attested, stars are no strangers to custody suits. And now Sharon Stone is among them.
According to minutes from a Sept. 12 hearing, Stone lost physical custody of her son, Roan, 8, to her ex-husband, Phil Bronstein, court papers show.
A Superior Court judge found that the boy, who is living with his father in the Bay Area and goes to school there, will stay with Bronstein unless Stone relocates to San Francisco or Bronstein decides to move.
“The court does not find that (a) move away is in child’s best interest,” say the minutes. “(Bronstein) can provide a more structured continuity, stable, secure, and consistent home that child, Roan, needs.”
Stone can still have access to her son and the judge ordered that ther phone number be programmed into Roan’s cell phone (yeah, 8-year-old with a cell phone, that’s some stellar parenting already) and home phone.
The duo had joint custody following a 2004 divorce.
