HSM kids cry it out

They’re all in this together and they’re all leaving it together. In tears.

The kids from “High School Musical,” along with director Kenny Ortega talked about their time together over the last three years during a press conference Sunday.

Describing the emotional last day of filming, Ortega said: “The entire cast, one at a time, started to crumble. We had to stop shooting…and send them back to the makeup trailer.”

Monique Coleman fingered Ashley Tisdale as the first crier:

“Yes, I was a dirty mess. I ruined my costume and had to go back to the trailer to clean my face up. But I didn’t start it this time,” Coleman stated.

“Kenny had said this amazing speech.” Tisdale said. “That’s what got us all going. Hair and makeup even started crying and they couldn’t get hair and makeup back on us.”

Efron denied letting the tears fall, but Bleu admitted to being blue and Tisdale said onscreen brother Lucas Grabeel cried a river or two.

“High School Musical 3: Senior Year” is set for release Oct. 24.
