Judge: Redmond O’Neal on the right track

Despite impending felony charges, Redmond O’Neal is doing well.

The son of Ryan O’Neal reported for a progress report in a Los Angeles Court Thursday. He and his father were arrested in September for possession of methamphetamines.

According to People, Superior Court Judge Scott Millington asked Redmond how he was doing after completing a two-week detox program, Redmond said, “Doing a lot better.”

“You’re looking a lot better from the last time I saw you,” responded Millington. “You’re on the right path. I know it’s easy to stray. Stay clean.”

Both Redmond and Ryan now face felony and misdemeanor drug charges stemming from a routine search of Ryan’s house related to Redmond’s probation for other drug offense.

Redmond went to rehab for heroine use back in 2004 as well.

At yesterday’s hearing he told the judge that he planned to enroll in a further drug treatment program in an effort to get sober.

An arraignment for the felony charges is scheduled for Nov. 13.
