Phish reunites!
All those Phish bumper stickers are relevant again!
The consummate college band, which disbanded in 2004, is reuniting – for three concerts in virginia in March, says a notice on the band’s Web site.
They’re starting out at Hampton Coliseum with three concerts – on March 6, 7 and 8. Phish recorded “Hampton Comes Alive,” a six-CD set, there in 1998.
More dates are planned in 2009, but haven’t been announced yet.
Reunion rumors starts back in May when the four members – Trey Anastasio, Page McConnell, Mike Gordon and Jon Fishman – appeared together to accept a lifetime achievement award at the Jammy Awards in New York.
The band hasn’t performed together since a goodbye concert in August 2004. Phish played a two-day concert at Newport State Airport in Coventry, Vermont for a bunch of their devoted fans.
