Superman’s dad dies. Again.
Poor Jonathan Kent can’t catch a break. DC Comics has killed off Clark Kent’s adoptive father. Again.
In Action Comic #870, out Wednesday, Superman’s dad dies of a heart attack when Superman can’t hear his mom’s cries for help in time.
The Kent patriarch has been killed off repeatedly. “Smallville” took out the character with a heart attack in season five. The same ailment killed him in the 1978 “Superman” movie starring Christopher Reeve. And back in the original movie, Clark Kent’s parents died while he was still a teenager.
