Bollywood actor shaken by bombings
The crazy bombing attacks in Mumbai have not left Bollywood unscathed. Legendary Indian actor Amitabh Bachchan is so scared by the terror attacks that he is now sleeping with a loaded gun under his pillow.
For those who spent the Thanksgiving holiday in a tryptophan-induced coma, more than 100 people have been killed and hundreds injured in a series of coordinated terror attacks since Wednesday night. The attacks were centered on mostly tourist destinations and the terrorists singled out Westerners. Large numbers of tourists and other locals have also been taken hostage by the militants.
The veteran actor watched the news of the attacks on TV from the safety of his home – but said he is taking no chances with gunmen still running riot in the city.
“As the events of the terrorist attack unfolded in front of me, I did something for the first time and one that I had hoped never ever to be in a situation to do,” he wrote in his online blog. “Before retiring for the night, I pulled out my licensed .32 revolver, loaded it and put it under my pillow, for a very disturbed sleep.”
