Mindy McCready taken to hospital for suicide attempt
Mindy McCready is working through every possible behavior that makes up a country song. The singer was hospitalized Wednesday morning after an apparent suicide attempt, according to police.
“We responded to a ’10-63,’ that’s a suicidal person call. Mindy McCready was at the house,” Kris Mumford, a Nashville Police Department spokeswoman, told the New York Daily News.
Police and paramedics arrived at a home where McCready, 33, was staying and took her to a Nashville-area hospital, where she was treated for wounds to her wrists, Mumford said.
“Apparently she called the mother of her roommate and said some things that caused the mother concern,” the spokeswoman added.
This comes after McCready spent a month in jail earlier this year for a probation violation on a 2004 drug charge. She went to rehab in July and admitted that she had a longterm affair with Yankee star Roger Clemens.
