Reality star fires back at ‘Ugly Betty’ star
Oh, what drama reality TV can wrought. “Flipping Out” star Jeff Lewis is denying claims he was abusive toward “Ugly Betty” actress Ashley Jensen.
Jensen and her husband Terence Beesley filed a lawsuit Wednesday against Lewis. They claim that the Bravo TV star was hired to build a deck in the yard of their Los Angeles home and that he actually did flip out. The couple said when they refused to accept a private financial settlement, he replied with “aggressive threats and outrageous behaviour”.
Lewis accused them of trying to exploit his fame.
He told TMZ.com, “Having apparently watched my reality show, they now feel they can exploit my personality to increase their media exposure and their alleged damages. I have never threatened either of them with physical harm, nor was I abusive or verbally threatening to either of them.
“In fact I have never even met Ms. Jensen. The court will decide … and Ms. Jensen and Mr. Beesley will then be left having to earn media coverage on their talent alone.”
See, um, the thing is, Lewis, you aren’t that famous. Ashley Jensen has been on two hit shows (“Ugly Betty” and “Extras”) and is generally nice. You have a show on Bravo. So I’m thinking you were just a jackass.
