Jessica Simpson proclaims love for Romo
The Cowboys may not have made it to the Superbowl, but their quarterback, Tony Romo, sent a long bomb right into the heart of Jessica Simpson.
The singer told a 30,000 person crowd, “I am so excited that I am going to see my boyfriend tonight!”
She was performing at Radio 99.9 Kiss Country’s annual Chili Cookoff Sunday at C. B. Smith Park in Pembroke Pines, Fla., along with Alan Jackson and other country stars.
She dedicated the song “You’re My Sunday,” from her recently released country album to her boyfriend, Romo.
“My boyfriend is a football player, and he takes up my Sundays and now my Mondays,” Simpson told the audience. “I am soooo happy!”
Simpson’s hour-long set list included a medley of her pop hit songs, then her new country songs. After the show, she did a meet-and-greet for about 25 fans who had won a contest to meet her before catching a 5:45 p.m. flight to Dallas to see Romo.
