Kelly Osbourne arrested
There’s something about a pair of handcuffs snapping around the wrists of the rich and famous. And the last bit of schadenfreude is from Kelly Osborne. The reality star-cum-singer has been arrested for allegedly slapping a journalist in a London nightclub last summer.
Osbourne allegedly hit gossip columnist Zoe Griffin after the writer published an article making fun of the singer’s boyfriend Luke Worrall. In a story in the Daily Mirror in August 2008, Griffin claimed Osbourne approached her in Punk nightclub. The star allegedly had a problem with a story Griffin had written saying Worrall had to ask how an earthquake was caused.
Griffin quoted her saying, “I have an issue with you. My boyfriend knows what an earthquake is and everyone has been laughing at him and he’s upset.”
As the conversation ended, “that’s when I felt a hard slap to my right cheekbone,” wrote Griffin.
Osbourne was released on bail and has to be back in court in March.
