Pitt tries to prevent Aniston-Jolie catfight
Brad Pitt is trying to calm the waters between his ex and his current wife.
Jennifer Aniston made an off-hand comment in Vogue calling Angelina Jolie “really uncool” for revealing how she (Jolie) couldn’t wait to go to work with the married actor on “Mr. & Mrs. Smith” and insinuating that the two were having at least an emotional affair unknown to Aniston. The comment sparked much controversy.
In the February issue of W, Pitt responds, “Listen, man, Jen is a sweetheart. I think she got dragged into that one, and then there’s a second round to all of that Angie versus Jen. It’s so created.”
As for his description of the timeline for his off-camera romance with Jolie off-camera he says, “What people don’t understand is that we filmed for a year. We were still filming after Jen and I split up. Even then it doesn’t mean that there was some kind of dastardly affair. There wasn’t.”
He adds, “I’m very proud of the way that it was handled. It was respectful. (The film) will mean something to our kids. It will, that’s all.”
