Chris Brown and Rihanna reunite
Rumor is Rihanna and Chris Brown have reconciled.
“While Chris is reflective and saddened about what happened, he is really happy to be with the woman he loves,” a source told PEOPLE, which first reported the apparent reconciliation.
E! News reports that the controversial couple spent one-on-one time at the mansion of Sean “Diddy” Combs’ in Miami Beach.
“It’s very private, you can’t see onto the property,” a source said of Combs’ nearly 13,000-square-foot beachfront home. This is the first in-person meeting since Brown was arrested Feb. 8 for allegedly assaulting Rihanna, leaving her bruised and battered.
Sources had said that Brown and Rihanna were talking, including a birthday phone call from Brown.
A rep for the “Disturbia” singer denied the previous contact.
An arraignment is scheduled Thursday for Brown, who is charged with making criminal threats, but, according to the L.A. District Attorney’s Office, that might not happen.
“We don’t have the evidence yet. (LAPD detectives) are still investigating,” D.A. spokeswoman Jane Robison told E! News Wednesday.
“The D.A. is being even more thorough than usual with this case. They don’t want to mess it up,” said a source close to the investigation.
At this point, no word one what this turn of events means for the D.A.’s case.
If the case does move forward, Brown will reportedly plead self-defence, claiming Rihanna attacked him.
A source told ‘Life and Style Weekly’ magazine: “Chris is already building his case. He’s saying she threw a phone at him, then hit him in the head and basically just lost it. He’s saying she attacked him.”
