New details on Rihanna’s injuries emerge
A source has revealed to PEOPLE magazine that the late night fight between Chris Brown and Rihanna last weekend left plenty of evidence of the violence.
“Chris knocked her around,” a source close to the couple told PEOPLE. “Black eye, blood, bruises. She had to be treated by a doctor.”
Police have confirmed that Rihanna suffered a black eye as well as a swollen, split lip and two red and purple contusions on either side of her forehead.
The source, who described police photos of Rihanna, added, “She looked distraught and in a lot of pain. Her eyes were closed because she was looking down.”
Rihanna was discharged from Los Angeles’ Cedars-Sinai Medical Center Monday night, a source close to the investigation told E! News. A decoy distracted photographers while the singer was escorted out the back door, the site said.
She is in “a safe place,” according to another friend and is cooperating with police.
The case is expected to head over to the district attorney’s office on Tuesday or Wednesday. At that time, the prosecutors could charge Brown, 19, with more crimes.
Rihanna’s reaction will gauge prosecutorial conduct. If she’s against it, it’s unlikely the city will pursue further charges.
