Tyler Perry to buy an island
Here’s how you can tell the rich from the (functionally) poor. When I want to work uninterrupted, I turn off my cell phone and unplug my wireless router. Tyler Perry buys an island.
The actor/director/producer/man with too much money plans to by an island to mark his 40th birthday this September, reports PEOPLE.
“Renting an island is the best place for me to work uninterrupted,” said Perry, who spent a week vacationing on a private island in the Great Exumas in the Bahamas.
“I’m a loner by nature, so when I’m out there on these islands, I just feel like the only person in the world,” said Perry.
He hasn’t picked a locale or a name for that matter.
“It won’t be Tyler Perry’s Island! I’m so sick of seeing Tyler Perry all over everywhere!” he kidded. “It’ll speak to me,” he says. “I’ll know what to call it once I’m there.”
