Rimes rebuts cheating rumors
LeAnn Rimes might have a cheatin’ heart and Us Weekly is telling on her.
The magazine reported that the married country singer is allegedly having an affair with also-married Eddie Cibrian. The two costarred in the upcoming Lifetime TV movie, “Northern Lights.” Like any good techno-savvy star, she’s taken to her Web site to defend her honor offer paltry pseudo-apologies.
“This is a difficult time for me and my loved ones, but I appreciate all your continued support,” Rimes, 26, wrote on her personal website Wednesday. “I would like to assure all of you that this is a place for you to hear things directly from me and as you all know, not everything in our lives is always black and white.”
Us Weekling has it in black and white security cam pictures, shots it claims show Rimes and Cebrian holding hands and kissing on a dinner date.
The singer also discussed the rumors in a roundabout fashion Wednesday morning on “Live with Regis and Kelly.”
To general inquiries about the rumors, Rimes responded: “Everything’s great,” and “There’s rumors all the time” and “I am used to dealing with it. I let it roll off my back most of the time.”
Rimes married former backup dancer Dean Sheremet in 2002.
