Bristol Palin may have done things a little out of order, but she’s graduated high school. The daughter of the would-be V.P. walked across the stage of the Wasilla Sports Complex Thursday night to receive her diploma.
One part teenager – giddy and wearing a necklace of Blow-Pop lollipops strung together with ribbon – and one part mom – mouthing “Where’s my baby?” as she scanned the two front rows before spotting Tripp near the backstage door, she ended her turbulent high school career.
“I knew it would be hard work, but I knew I was going to do it,” Bristol told PEOPLE. The teenage mother had a 3.497 GPA and regretted that she was “point zero-zero-something” away from graduating with Honors.
Bristol said she hopes to go to an area college for a two-year business degree and then a job, possibly in real estate.
