Chris Brown sued by photog

chrisbrownChris Brown is in yet more legal trouble. The singer is being sued by a photographer who says Brown was involved in a violent incident at a Los Angeles gym back in March.

According to the lawsuit, filed in L.A. County Superior Court, the incident occurred a few weeks after the alleged beating of Rihanna after a Grammy Eve party. The photo snapped a shot of Brown playing ball with his friends and the singer’s bodyguards yelled at him, so he tried to leave. A gym employee then tried to block his escape, supposedly causing the paparazzi to fall down a stairwell.

Brown’s bodyguards caught up with him and “picked him up by his shorts and physically assaulted him.”

The complainant claims he was a paying member at the gym and thus had the right to be on the property. He’s suing Brown and L.A. Fitness for assault and battery, false imprisonment, intentional infliction of emotional distress, negligence and premises liability.

Brown’s lawyer, Mark Geragos, released this statement: “The is a specious and frivolous lawsuit by one of the paparazzi seeking publicity and a payday. He’s done this before and lost. We will vigorously defend against this.”

This isn’t the first time the guy has sued a star. He tried to sue Pierce Brosnan over an incident in Malibu, but the case was ultimately dismissed.
