Eric Mabius’s crazy ride to the hospital
A crazed taxi ride to the hospital almost ended badly for “Ugly Betty” star Eric Mabius and his wife, Ivy. The couple was racing to the hospital in a cab in December when the vehicle ran out of gas.
Mabius had called a cab when Ivy went into labor in the early hours of Dec. 7.
“We had to pull over to the side of the highway. The driver got out and started waving his hands to hail another cab,” he told Life and Style magazine. Fortunately, they made it to the hospital and Rylan, a healthy baby boy, arrived.
“When he came out, he was so big, he looked like a toddler,” siad Mabius.
Rylan is the couple’s second child and Mabius thinks they’ll still with that number: “We each come from two-children families. We think it’s a good, round number.”
