Martin Freeman says he’s not cool

freemanMartin Freeman is not cool. Or so he thinks.

The actor who launched to fame in the UK’s “The Office” says he hasn’t been cool in about seven years.

“I was probably cool around the end of 2002. It was when ‘The Office’ was massive. That was the time in my life I got the Hoxton fin haircut,” he said. Freeman also appeared in the hit “Hot Fuzz” and is now working on a project called Ctrl.Alt.Shift, which makes short films on current issues.

He says his coolness has taken another hit because the project helps support the Church of England charity Christian Aid.

“I think Ctrl.Alt.Shift was really just a way for Christian Aid,” he said. “I suppose there’s nothing very ‘cool’ about Christianity, is there? And people can be very anti it in a way they can’t about other religions.”

Aw, Martin, I think you’re cool, for the “Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy” alone. Come to my house and I’ll tell you how very cool I think you are. With visual aids. I’m pretty sure you’ll say “oh God” a lot.
