‘Slumdog Millionaire’ kid on red carpet in Cannes
While two of the child stars of “Slumdog Millionaire” are still in the slumbs of Mumbai, Ayush Mahesh Khedekar was again on the red carpet Monday night, this time in Cannes.
Ayush, Rubina Ali and Azharuddin Ismail played the three main characters of the Oscar-award winning movie at their youngest. Rubina and Azharuddin have faced scandal and tragedy. Rubina’s father was accused of trying to sell her, her shanty home flooded with sewage and Azharuddin’s home was demolished.
Ayush is from a richer background, and recently signed on to appear in a new film, “Shyam’s Secret,” and is promoting it in Cannes for five days.
