Megan Fox equates acting with hooking

gqMegan Fox considers herself a hooker. And I’m sure lots of red-blooded American males (and some females) would like to consider her one as well.

In the July 2009 issue of Great Britain’s GQ, the “Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen” actress compares her profession to the oldest one in the world.

“When you think about it, we actors are kind of prostitutes. We get paid to feign attraction and love. Other people are paying to watch us kissing someone, touching someone, doing things people in a normal monogamous relationship would never do with anyone who’s not their partner. It’s really kind of gross,” said Fox.

She sort of has a point. Except for the part where actors don’t actually have sex with people. So they’re more like high paid escorts. Also without sex.

Given that assessment of acting, it should be a little shocking absolutely no surprise that Fox has a hard time with her status as sex symbol:

“I have this sort of promiscuous image. People assume I’m really overtly sexually aggressive and that I’m this wild child. And I’m not like that at all,” said Fox.

Uh-huh. So the nearly-nude posing on that cover there and the bisexuality and the general sexedup-ness of her, all figments of my imagination. Gotcha.
