The Laker Parade Of Champions
Over two million Angelenos took the day off yesterday (not including me) and drove to downtown Los Angeles to watch the LA Lakers celebrate their back-to-back championship victory with a big ol’ parade! While the festivities were a little less crazy than last year’s parade debacle (there was a big rally at the end of the parade route that caused some security issues), this year’s parade went by quite well….almost.
All the Lakers were riding on the back of a custom-built semi-truck while the Laker cheerleaders rode on top of a firetruck. Derek Fisher, Lamar Odom, Kobe Bryant, Pau Gasol, and Ron Artest led the way.
And before you ask, YES, Lamar just HAD to bring his wife AND his in-laws with him. Other than that, CONGRATS to the Lakers!
