IPhone 4 Soon To Be Available on Verizon

It was announced yesterday by Apple that they will be providing another service provider to their IPhone 4 – Verizon Wireless! In short, this announcement practically takes away the exclusivity from AT&T which was the sole service provider for 3G service since the IPhone began (although customers can still stick with them if they want).

Reports from the Apple press conference have gone on to confirm that the Verizon-powered IPhone 4 will be available for pre-order to Verizon clients on February 3rd while non-Verizon customers can buy it on the 10th.

In terms of features, both IPhones will provide the same functions but as stated by AT&T, the Verizon-powered IPhone will NOT have the ability to “allow it’s users to place calls and use apps at the same time“. While no rates were given for Verizon’s data service, I can guarantee that it WON’T be any different than what AT&T offers.
