Transformers 3 Death Toll – Who Dies?
*SPOILER ALERT* Considering that this is probably the last Transformers flick that we’ll see in a while, it’s only fitting that some good guys die and some bad guys….well, die! Michael Bay made certain that any of the characters that die in the movie will stay dead and he certainly kept his promise!

If you haven’t seen TF3 yet (and plan on doing so this weekend), avoid reading the article below because it is just chock full of fantastic spoilers. Otherwise, if you just wanna avoid the hassle and ruin it for everyone, then read on!
.
.
Unlike previous TF films, Optimus Prime switches from passionate leader to a cold-blooded killer! The majority of dead Decepticons are practically killed by Optimus in gruesome style. Read on for all the details (in case you missed it during the movie)!
.

–SHOCKWAVE – KILLED BY OPTIMUS PRIME
Shockwave is one of the selling points for TF3. Billboards are everywhere of this one-eyed villain, yet he only appears about three different times during the movie in short bursts. For his last hurrah, Shockwave gets his spine ripped out (in classic Mortal Kombat Sub-Zero style) by Optimus.
.
–DIGGER – KILLED BY OPTIMUS PRIME
Digger is the giant octopus-like Decepticon that wraps its tentacles around the building in the trailer. In great fashion, Optimus comes flying in (also seen in the trailer) and then after a few near misses, he slices Digger in half.
.
–SOUNDWAVE – KILLED BY BUMBLEBEE
After nearly getting his head blown off, Bumblebee engages in a one-on-one battle against the satellite-turned-Mercedes Benz Decepticon. Bumblebee jams his cannon arm through Soundwave’s chest and blasts his head clean off!
.
–STARSCREAM – KILLED BY SAM WITWICKY
Sam uses a couple of gadgets given to him by one of the Wreckers. He blinds Starscream by grappling on to his eye with a grappling hook. From there, Sam grabs a home-made explosive and jams it into Starscream’s head, exploding his upper half into bits and pieces.
.
–MEGATRON – KILLED BY OPTIMUS PRIME
Megatron plays a much smaller role in TF3. He only appears a few times in a weakened state and during the Optimus/Sentinel battle, Optimus equips his giant battle axe and jams it into Megatron’s head and decapitates him. Yup, looks like we won’t be seeing Megatron anymore.
.
–SENTINEL PRIME – KILLED BY OPTIMUS PRIME & MEGATRON
Sentinel is the one Autobot that is NOT highlighted in any of the trailers or promos, so it is a bit of a surprise when you find he’s defected from Autobot to Decepticon. In an intense battle, Sentinel ends up slicing off Optimus’ right arm but gets shot in the back by Megatron. Megatron weakens Sentinel but not before Optimus gets the last word in. After killing Megatron, Optimus takes a giant shotgun and blasts Sentinel multiple times in the head.
.
–IRONHIDE – KILLED BY SENTINEL PRIME
Ironhide is the only main Autobot that dies a sad death in the film. After Sentinel reveals his true intentions, he shoots a few rounds at Ironhide, killing him. In sad fashion, Ironhide dissolves in to dust.
.
–BRAIN AND WHEELIE – KILLED BY CRASHED SHIP
In case you forgot, Wheelie was the mini-RC truck from TF2 that defected from Decepticon to Autobot. He returns along with another mini-buddy named Brain. Towards the end of the flick, the two hijack and crash a Decepticon ship, practically killing themselves in a blaze of glory.
.
There were a couple more gruesome Decepticon deaths (including one performed by Enzo, the red Ferrari) and another Autobot (whose name I don’t know) killed by Soundwave, but these are the important ones you need to know. There, I just ruined it for you!
