Jessica Simpson and Tony Romo out for dinner at Sagebrush Cantina in Calabasas.The couple then headed over to the Key Club to celebrate her birthday.
So when they got there Jessica Simpson was left dazzled by boyfriend Tony Romo’s rocking skills at Hollywood’s Key Club on Monday night when he took the stage for a rendition of Guns N’ Roses anthem “Sweet Child O’ Mine.”
The hot couple was among the stars in the crowd at tribute rock band Steel Panther’s weekly residency at the venue, when American footballer Romo decided to surprise his girlfriend.
Despite butchering baseball anthem “Take Me Out To The Ball Game” at a recent Chicago Cubs game, Romo was game to give his singing skills another go.
He jumped up onstage with Steel Panther and dedicated his “Sweet Child O’ Mine” rendition to his shocked girlfriend, who was celebrating her 28th birthday early.
Revellers, including actress Vivica A. Fox and Tom Morello, were suitably impressed and Romo won the crowd over with an energetic version of the song.
It’s not the first time Romo has performed at the Key Club – he and Simpson teamed up onstage for a rendition of Journey’s “Don’t Stop Believin’” in January.

It is three rings intertwined, so it is very symbolic, the insider says of the popular design, which is set with multi-colored pave diamonds and is meant to represent the three stages of a relationship: yellow gold for friendship, rose gold for love and white gold for fidelity. It is three turned into one and that is how it will be with Keith, Nicole and the new baby, notes the insider. Cameron Diaz owns the same ring, as does Katie Holmes, who received hers for Mothers Day. The Trinity ring was created by Cartier in 1924 and is still one of its most recognized designs today.
Zac wants to Rock and Or Roll ya!!
Zac Efron walks from the parking lot to the stairs in Los Angeles sporting his rock and or roll tee on June 2. He may have had a little trouble finding them as the sunglasses made it hard to see ! Gabrielle Union Is Postponing Motherhood
Gabrielle Union has vowed to put motherhood to one side for a few years – because she’s not responsible enough to play the demanding role of mother.
The 35-year-old star ended her five-year-long marriage to football star Chris Howard in 2006. And Union admits the couple never conceived partly because she feared taking on adult responsibilities.
She says, “Right now, I don’t have the same urges as other women when they see a baby. When I see children, I see responsibilities, which I don’t think I’m quite ready for. I feel the same about puppies. They’re cute for a second, but there’s a lot of responsibility involved.”

Pierce Brosnan Happy To Be Rid Of Bond
Former James Bond star Pierce Brosnan was relieved to finally hand over the 007 franchise to Daniel Craig – because playing the super spy is like making “a pact with the devil.”
The 54-year-old starred as the secret agent in four films, eventually bowing out in 2004. However Brosnan admits that playing the revered character is a major undertaking, as the franchise has such strict rules about conduct, grooming and endorsements. And he was happy to finally shed the responsibility of playing Bond.
He says, “You become an ambassador to a small country. Bond is an industry. You make your pact with the devil. You know that it will follow you. But you just hope you get yourself off the ropes. I have no bitterness but I just feel exhausted by it.”
Heath Ledger’s Hometown To Name Theater After Him
The Australian hometown of the late actor Heath Ledger named a theater in his honor Tuesday for his commitment to acting.
The $87 million, 575-seat Heath Ledger Theater in Perth is a fitting tribute because Ledger was always supportive of other young actors, Western Australia state Premier Alan Carpenter said at a naming ceremony.
Ledger died at 28 of an accidental prescription drug overdose in New York in January.
“Heath Ledger was totally dedicated to the craft of being an actor and that’s what made him successful,” Carpenter said. “I think what we’re doing is continuing that support for young people who want to make a career in the arts and acting, stage and in film, whatever it happens to be.”
Kim Ledger, the actor’s father, called the tribute a pleasant surprise.
“He was such a giver to the arts right across the board. I really feel that there’s not a lot of things he’d put his name to, but he’d put his name to that,” said Kim Ledger, who attended Tuesday’s ceremony.
Kim Ledger said family members would travel to New York later this month to attend a screening of “The Dark Knight.” Heath Ledger plays the Joker in the movie, his final full film role. The actor’s performance has already been lauded by critics.
The renewed attention on his son because of the film has made the family’s grieving process difficult, Ledger said.
“It’s just been a little more public and the films make it a little more public as well,” he said. “It’s been a little bit hard, but we’ve always been extremely proud of his work and that hasn’t changed.
Mike Myers Had Diarrhea On Aussie Red Carpet
Funnyman Mike Myers wasn’t laughing at the recent The Love Guru premiere in Australia – he was battling diarrhea on the red carpet.
The actor realized he was ill on his way to the screening earlier this month and had to stop at a number of restaurants to use restrooms before he actually got to the premiere. But his embarrassment didn’t end there – he then had to try to hide his upset stomach from a fan at a pharmacy counter.
He explains, “In Australia, when you go into a drug store you actually have to talk to the pharmacist…I was looking around and I was, like, ‘Hi!’ ‘Hello, you’re Mike Myers, how are you? What can I do for you?’ (I said) ‘I’d like Pepto-Bismol please.’ ‘We don’t know what that is…What is it exactly, Mike?’ I was like, ‘It’s for tummy trouble.’”
But the confused Aussie staffmember at the pharmacy needed him to be more specific, prompting a desperate Myers to reveal he was suffering from diarrhea.
He adds, “(They said) ‘How very interesting, you’re a superstar with diarrhea.’ I’m like, ‘Hmmm, don’t feel like a superstar right now.’”
Say it is not so Eddie!
Meet Dave” star Eddie Murphy is dishing to Extra TV about leaving the movie business for good after the release of his latest film. “I have close to fifty movies and it’s like, why am I in the movies?” he said, adding, “I’ve done that part now. I’ll go back to the stage and do standup.”
Murphy, 47, said that while a “Beverly Hills Cop 4″ flick was in the works, he didn’t want to do it, because “the movie wasn’t ready to be done.” Murphy said he agreed to do “Cop 3″ because of the large fee he was offered. “They said this is how much we’re going to pay you. I said, ‘let’s go shoot it! I don’t care if the script ain’t right.”
Counting Down to 300 Sequel
For Greece! For glory! For ripped guys in skimpy armor!
Legendary Pictures and Warner Bros. are looking for a plot to hang a follow-up to 300 on, as they try to repeat the surprise blockbuster success of the 2006 flick adapted from Frank Miller’s graphic novel.
Fanboys will be heartened to know that, according to Variety, original director Zack Snyder is being wooed for the next installment, which will be based on a new graphic novel from the acclaimed comic-book writer.
The problem is exactly who will be going to war this time around, considering nearly all of 300′s main characters were killed off at the end of the first film, including Gerard Butler and his heroic pecs. Butler’s testosterone-fueled King Leonidas led Sparta’s small yet fierce army in a doomed but inspiring standoff against the Persians in the Battle of Thermopylae.
Miller must work out whether the new saga will be a prequel, a sequel or a possible spinoff headlining those who survived the brutal fighting, and whether there will be a number referenced in the title (150? 600? 3,000?).
The 300 follow-up isn’t the only swords-and-sandals epic in the works. Legendary is also hatching a remake to 1981′s Clash of the Titans under the direction of The Incredible Hulk helmer Louis Leterrier. Relativity Media, meanwhile, is developing a project entitled War of Gods. No word when those will unspool.
Snyder’s next film, Watchmen, an action sci-fi fantasy following a vigilante who investigates the murder of an ex-superhero, hits theaters next March. And Miller is set to make his directing debut with an adaptation of his graphic novel The Spirit, due out this Christmas.

Strike 2? Hollywood braces for actor walkout
LA Times is reporting that the strike threat has Hollywood on edge as the countdown continues to June 30th when all SAG actors are likely to strike as talks between SAG leadership and the studios have failed to reach an agreement.
The talks have become so continuous that the American Federation of Television and Radio Artists (AFTRA) broke away from SAG after more then 25 years of co-representation and where able to reach an agreement modeled after those reached with the Director’s Guild of America (DGA) and Writers Guild of America (WGA). SAG has refused a similar agreement citing it not going far enough to meet their demands.
This disagreement with handling of this issue extends beyond the AFTRA to include the SAG membership itself with many members expressing dissatisfaction with the lack of progress and the hard line that SAG leader Alan Rosenberg has had. The heart of the disagreement is DVD residuals, cut of advertisement fees used within a project, and fees for their images being used online. Essentially they want more then already agreed on with the DGA and WGA and as a result the studios are balking.
The actually strike is not expected to start until after July 8th. In part because of the July the 4th holiday but also because on July 8th, AFTRA’s membership is expected to vote in support of the reached contract. If that occurs it could put a major dent in SAG’s position. Despite that, 90% of SAG

According to The Hollywood Reporter, she’s in talks to play Ivy, a single mother struggling to adjust to life in Manhattan after losing her high-powered job, and moving from the ritzy Upper East Side to a grungy downtown flat in the film adaptation of Karen Quinn’s best-selling book The Ivy Chronicles.
